Milton Animal Shelter Building Fund

Please help us build the new Milton Animal Shelter.

The Milton Animal League is moving forward with plans to build a new animal shelter. The current building, constructed as a temporary animal shelter in the 1970's, is in a dilapidated state, and the League hopes to build a modern new shelter to better serve the needs of the Town of Milton and its homeless animals.

The League is fortunate to have engaged the services of Stephen Jensen, of Blue Sky Collaborative Architecture in Beverly, MA, who has 20 years of experience working on shelters for the MSPCA and other non-profits. Steve has designed a building using the latest shelter design techniques, including sound mitigation and sanitation. Improved systems will make the building more comfortable for volunteers, visitors, and our resident animals. The League also asked Steve to incorporate "green" building strategies to minimize environmental impacts. There are no plans to increase the capacity of the shelter, which can currently house 12 dogs and 30 cats.

The Milton Animal League has established a building fund, and we are working to raise $2.5 million to realize the dream of a new shelter. Please send your donation to the Milton Animal League, 181 Governor Stoughton Lane, Milton, MA 02186
